LOCAL MAKERS - WHY BE PART OF THE MIQ BRAND AND CERTIFICATION?
BRAND AWARENESS & EXPOSURE - Your brand and your logo will be featured on the MiQ website, and when possible on our other sister sites, social media, newsletter, and this will be propagated through our partners' reach as well when applicable.
GROUP OPPORTUNITIES - We will advocate for better deals as a group, and your brand will be associated with a locally conscious, active organization of successful entrepreneurs.
SALES - In 2016 we opened a retail pop up shop that lasted more than six months; in 2017 we've already held two retail event opportunities. Our goal is to see our MiQ makers succeed, most sales were direct B2C, however some makers that benefited from the exposure were later approached for B2B wholesale and other market access opportunities. If you're a Local Maker, apply and embark on your growth path.
LOCAL LAW - If you've already done your due diligence regarding license requirements to manufacture and sell your goods, and if you've already obtained your NYS sales tax authority, great. If you have not, or are not sure if you're in compliance, we will contact the required agencies and assure that you're in compliance with local laws.
To apply for the MiQ certification, please submit your application here. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. To reach us call 718-263-0546 or write us a message using the form in the contact tab.
MiQ curates innovative entrepreneurs, manufacturers, producers, designers, artisans, and community partners seeking to gain exposure to their products in a new and unique atmosphere. We aim to continually provide our customers with new small batch, originally manufactured products and other gift choices. We are in the business of economic development and want to encourage the sale of local products -- not mass produced, off-shored or resold items. We promise to learn the names of the manufacturers and the origins of their products so that we may share the stories of each brand and product we feature with you, our customers. We want to help visitors make conscious purchasing decisions and, on a broader scale, to cultivate and promote conscious consumerism.
